‘Rising’ is the new single from London-based producer and visual artist Leask. The track, which features longtime collaborator Malthus, is a strange sonic experiment. It’s designed to mirror the push and pull of resistance, represented musically by the tension and release of his soundscape. Mellower sections are underpinned by the gentle surge of low frequencies, while lo-fi drums and the expansive wash of synths build up toward moments of cathartic release. The track is lifted from his upcoming EP, which is a collection of tracks defined by resistance and pushing back against internal forces.
